Peatlands for People
Peatlands for People began in September 2017 and delivers community engagement as part of the Bog Squad Project. Its aim is to raise awareness about the importance of peatlands.
We run events for all age groups - from school sessions to family events and talks/workshops for adults.
We work with a range of different groups including schools, youth groups, community groups, nature organisations/charities, arts/heritage centres and museums.
Our sessions focus on the importance of peatlands, particularly for moths and butterflies, and can be indoor or outdoor. We can tailor them to the interest of the group spanning a range of subjects such as climate science, environment/ecology, art and heritage/history.
We are currently working on our 2019 programme of events. If you are interested in finding out more about the project or collaborating on an event you can contact the Peatlands for People Project Officer Rebecca Crawford at email@example.com
